⭐ How to Create a GA4 Account and Property to Get Your Measurement ID (Step-by-Step Guide)
A complete beginner-friendly tutorial for setting up Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect data from your Blogger website.
1. Introduction: Why You Need GA4 for Your Blog
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is essential for tracking how users interact with your blog.
By creating a GA4 property and obtaining a Measurement ID, you can later connect it to Google Tag Manager (GTM) and complete your full tracking setup.
This guide covers:
- Creating a new GA4 account if you do not have one
- Creating a new property if you already have an account

2. Start GA4 Setup
Go to https://analytics.google.com Click Start Measuring.
3. Create a New Account (If You Don’t Have One)
Enter your Account Name → e.g., unicosmos-blog
These fields only identify your analytics structure.
Go to the bottom-left gear icon → Create → Property.
4. Create a GA4 Property
Enter:
- Property name (e.g., unicosmos)
- Business time zone → 대한민국 (GMT+09:00)
- Currency → USD or KRW depending on reporting preference
Click Next.
5. Fill Out Business Information
Enter the following:
- Industry category: “Internet & Telecom”
- Business size: “Small (1–10 employees)”
- Goals:
- Website traffic
- Measure engagement
Click Create.
These selections do not affect tracking accuracy — they only help Google provide recommendations.
6. Select Your Platform
Choose 웹(Web) because you are tracking a Blogger website.
7. Set Up Your Data Stream
Fill in:
- Website URL →
https://www.unicosmos.pe.kr - Stream name → e.g., cosmos
- Keep “Enhanced Measurement” turned on
Click Create and Continue.
8. Your Data Stream Is Created
You will now see:
- Stream name
- Stream URL
- Stream ID
- Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX) ← This is MOST important
This Measurement ID will be used in:

Click Next to complete setup.
9. Where to Find Your Measurement ID Anytime
Go to:
Admin → Property → Data Stream
Select your website stream → You will find:
- Measurement ID: starts with G-XXXXXXXXXX
- Stream details
- Enhanced measurement toggle
This Measurement ID will be used in the next two tutorials.
