How to Change Your Blogger Thumbnails Using GPT, Midjourney, and Photoshop (Step-by-Step Guide)

Creating an eye-catching thumbnail is one of the most effective ways to increase your click-through rate (CTR) on a Google Blogger website. Since Blogger does not offer a built-in thumbnail editor, you must design thumbnails externally using tools like GPT prompt generation, Midjourney image creation, and Photoshop editing.

In this guide, I’ll walk you through the exact workflow I used to update my thumbnails for the UNICOSMOS blog—fully aligned with my template colors (purple #8A2BE2, pink #FF4FB3, orange #FF9800) and optimized for Google SEO and Google Search AI.

How to Change Your Blogger Thumbnails Using GPT, Midjourney, and Photoshop

1. Review Your Current Blogger Thumbnail Layout

Before creating a new thumbnail, start by reviewing how the main page looks with existing designs.
On Blogger, the first image in your post automatically becomes your thumbnail, so it’s important to design your featured graphic intentionally from the beginning.

2. Generate a Midjourney Prompt Using ChatGPT

Because my template uses bold neon purples, vivid pink gradients, and orange accents, I asked GPT to generate a Midjourney prompt that visually matches UNICOSMOS branding.

Example request I used:

“Create a Midjourney prompt for a Google AdSense Guide–themed thumbnail that matches the UNICOSMOS Blogger template colors and looks clean, modern, and SEO-friendly.”

GPT generated a high-quality prompt that includes:

  • Blogger UI mockups
  • AdSense dashboard elements
  • Bright UNICOSMOS gradient colors
  • Simple vector shapes
  • Bold digital guide styling

3. Create Thumbnail Concepts in Midjourney

I pasted the generated prompt into Midjourney, which produced multiple thumbnail concepts based on the UNICOSMOS color palette.

The results included:

  • bright neon purple + pink gradients
  • vector-style dashboards
  • “Google AdSense Guide” text placement
  • clean compositions with no human images (SEO-friendly)

Choose the version that best fits your post layout.

4. Edit the Thumbnail in Photoshop

Midjourney provides great visuals, but you must add clear English text because thumbnails with readable titles dramatically increase CTR—especially for AdSense tutorial content.

Steps I used in Photoshop:

  1. Import the Midjourney image
  2. Add bold text overlay matching your content title
  3. Align the text with UNICOSMOS brand style
  4. Export as JPG (optimized) or WEBP (recommended)

After editing, I uploaded the new thumbnail as the first image inside my Blogger post.

5. Important Notes for Blogger Users

Blogger does not provide a built-in thumbnail editor

Unlike YouTube—which offers one of the best thumbnail interfaces—Google Blogger requires external image editing.
Naver Blog provides easier tools, but Blogger remains stronger for global search reach and AdSense monetization.

Always place the thumbnail as your first image

Because Blogger automatically selects the first image as the post thumbnail, you must manually control placement.

Consistency is key for SEO + branding

Using the same color palette and layout style across your thumbnails helps your blog look more professional and improves user recognition.
